Right now, we are interested in hiring for the following positions. Contact us to apply.

Relationship Advisor

Our relationship advisors specialize in customer service for our clients. They are expected to be accurate, clear, empathetic, and responsive. They should have a general understanding of a wide variety of financial planning topics, although this general knowledge can be acquired through training and a diligent reading of our articles.

You will be responsible for:

  • Responding to client emails and phone calls
  • Scheduling and hosting client meetings
  • Presenting financial analysis developed by our specialists
  • Managing, tracking, and progressing multiple projects for multiple clients at the same time

Essential skills include:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • (Ideally) ready to sit for the CFP exam
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Sharp memory
  • Organized, attentive to detail
  • Friendly, able to socialize well with people you’ve just met
  • Genuine love of service
  • Familiarity with our perspective on financial planning

Technical Specialist

As our firm expands, we increasingly have the need for more specialists to handle the increasing load of services we provide for our clients.

Most of our specialties require running proprietary financial analysis in Microsoft Excel or generating reports in other financial software.

Responsibilities will vary based on the specialty in question, but all back office specialists pride themselves on accuracy, our first core tenet of customer service at Marotta.

Essential traits include:

  • Able to learn new computer programs with ease
  • Able to master a specific and specialized set of rules, jargon, or principles
  • Attentive to details; a near obsessive desire to make things perfect
  • Teaching skills; being able to empathize and speak to someone who knows less than you is helpful

Tax Preparer and Specialist

We recommend and assist with a lot of Roth conversions for our clients at Marotta Wealth Management. The missing piece of our Roth conversion service is preparing and filing client tax returns. As a result, we would like to hire someone who has a passion for filing tax returns and the credentials to do so.

You will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and filing client tax returns
  • Analyzing tax returns utilizing our proprietary tax review for Roth conversions, capital gains, and other tax planning decisions

Essential skills include:

  • Enrolled agent, CPA, or other tax filing qualifications
  • Mastery of Microsoft Excel
  • Organized, attentive to detail
  • Fast, diligent worker
  • Familiarity with our perspective on taxes

Estate Attorney or Specialist

Most people seem to end up with cookie-cutter, cut-and-paste estate plans regardless of how amazing the attorney they are working with is or how much they pay for it. We’d like to help our clients get the estate plan they want by having an employee on staff whose job it is to dream with them, thinking outside of the normal estate planning box.

Furthermore, as part of our service, we aid the surviving family of our clients with the estate settlement if they desire our services. Although we are doing this at legal arms length, we would like to be more actively involved in the process. This means our first choice would be to hire an attorney who is allowed to advise our clients directly on trust maintenance as well as the probate process.

You will be responsible for:

  • Meeting with clients to help them imagine what they want in an estate plan
  • Turning their estate plan dreams into a proposal to deliver to an attorney (or draft yourself, if credentialed)
  • Aiding clients through probate and the estate and trust maintenance process

Essential skills include:

  • (Ideally) licensed attorney or (minimal) paralegal credentials
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized, attentive to detail
  • Friendly, able to socialize well with people you’ve just met
  • Genuine love of service
  • Familiarity with our perspective on estate planning
